Who is Mirella?
From Beauty School to Entrepreneur
I’m the CEO of Rebel Femme Salon, podcast host of HairB&B, independent educator, and Artistic Ambassador for Kenra Professional and Donna Bella Hair. But, it didn't start out that way...
I'm a first-generation Ecuadorian-American who was born and raised in East LA. I accidentally found my passion for hair through a cosmetology program offered in high school. I quickly learned that I wanted to one day be an educator working for a major brand.
In 2005, I started my management career at ULTA Beauty where I not only grew my salon team to be one of the top 5 salons in the country, but also opened, staffed, and trained four southern California ULTA locations. After my 9-year commitment at ULTA I finally took the plunge to pursue my passion in education.
I worked for Kenra Professional as a Regional Education Manager where I created the first-ever Kenra Upstyle collection and developed educational curriculum in color. I not only educated hairstylists on the latest trends in salons and at trade shows, but I gained experience as a session stylist and built a small team of educators.
Fast forward to 2018, I left my full-time corporate job to open Rebel Femme™️, launched my online education, started my podcast HairB&B, built all my social platforms past 100K, and built a team of successful 6-figure stylists. I did all this plus birth 2 baby girls in 4 short years! Crazy, right?
Now I want to share how I did it all through a community mastermind where you can pick my brain, learn all the industry social media marketing secrets, and start building your own empire, big or small.
